2025 Evolution 2 Freeride Series Chamonix Grand Raid Dynastar junior
For the seventh time, Chamonix is hosting the last event of the French Freeride Series, The Grand Raid Dynastar by Evolution 2 on April 26th!
This event includes a Freeride World Tour Qualifier 2*. The riders will launch themselves on a Derby with a team of 2 riders (mix ski/snow - mix women/men) during the morning and on the individual line catcher final during the afternoon.

Event Outline – Grand Raid Chamonix
1. Team Composition
- The derby stages (Special 1 and 2) are raced in teams of two.
- Teams can be mixed in terms of gender, age, or discipline (e.g., male skier with female snowboarder U14).
- Both teammates must cross the finish line together, maintaining clear physical contact (e.g., holding hands, touching a ski pole).
2. Qualification for the Finale
- The final time for a team is the sum of both members’ times across the two derby stages.
- Example:
- Derby 1: 3 min 30 sec.
- Derby 2: 2 min.
- Total time: 5 min 30 sec.
- Example:
- Qualification for the linecatcher finale is individual and based on cumulative times within each category (e.g., male skiers, female snowboarders U14).
Qualification Criteria:
- The top 25% of times in each category qualify for the finale.
- If a team with two riders in the same category qualifies partially (only one meets the threshold), both riders are qualified together.
- Example: If 10 male skiers can qualify and a team places Pierre and Christophe tied for 10th, both will participate in the finale, bringing the total to 11 qualifiers.
3. Linecatcher Finale
- The finale is judged according to the official Freeride World Tour rules.
- Final ranking is based solely on the score from the judged run.
- Judging Criteria:
- Fluidity.
- Commitment.
- Tricks.
- Line choice.
4. Rankings and Awards
- Qualified riders: Ranked based on their linecatcher finale score.
- Non-qualified riders: Ranked based on cumulative times from the two derby stages.
