Bansko Ski Area is by far the best on the Balkans with lift access as high as 2600 m above sea level. Located on the north-eastern slopes of the mountain, the town of Bansko has emerged as the main ski and winter sports center in the Balkans. The Pirin’s mountain resort is a regular host of FIS World Cup events.
