FWT announces 2025 Junior & Qualifier calendars

FWT Region 1 Europe-Asia-Oceania and IFSA Region 2 Americas Junior and Qualifier calendars are out today!

Region 1 Updates

  • New FWT Qualifier destination: Kyrgyzstan
  • Additional events confirmed in China and Japan
  • Four new competitions in Georgia (2 Qualifier and 2 Junior events)
  • Iconic FWT Qualifier 4* event returning during the Bruson Freeride Week in 4 Vallées, Switzerland

The FIS Freeride World Tour has revealed the schedules for both the FWT Junior and FWT Qualifier, which now include more competitions and exciting new locations. 54 Qualifier and 48 Junior events – with more to be confirmed – will make up Region 1 alone, featuring some of the best freeride venues. The future talent of the sport will be on display, and each event offers a chance to gain valuable points towards making the FWT Challenger Series and, ultimately, the FWT.

Expanding Horizons for Global Freeriding

This season, FWT introduces Kyrgyzstan as a new FWT Qualifier destination, adding a unique cultural backdrop and fresh terrain to the lineup. Neighboring Kazakhstan returns with two events this season after a highly successful debut last year. Additionally, China gains another FWT Qualifier event, reinforcing the region’s role in growing the sport. Japan, a long-time freeride hotspot, will see two more events this season, while Georgia solidifies its freeride credentials with four new competitions (two FWT Qualifier and two FWT Junior events) across its rugged, snow-clad terrain.

This season, FWT Junior and FWT Qualifier Series continue to strengthen their European presence with exciting events across key destinations. Innsbruck, Austria, will host a new FWT Junior event, providing a prime venue for young, aspiring athletes to showcase their skills in one of Europe’s renowned alpine hubs.

The FWT Qualifier 4* in Bruson, Switzerland, returns to the 4 Vallées region, where it will once again challenge athletes in a high-stakes competitive setting. Known for its demanding terrain, Bruson remains a favorite among riders and fans alike, solidifying its place on the FWT Qualifier Series circuit.
