Competition Confirmed: Kicking Horse Golden BC Pro Set for Friday, February 7

The FIS Freeride World Tour by Peak Performance is heading to North America for its third stop.

The Kicking Horse Golden BC Pro will take place on Friday, February 7, at the Ozone face. A key stop on the tour since 2018, this venue is known for its steep chutes, technical terrain, and freestyle-friendly features. With a consistent snowpack and a fresh 30 cm of snowfall, conditions are set for an exciting competition.

Ozone: A Freeride Playground

The Ozone face at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort is one of the most dynamic venues on the Freeride World Tour, with 324 meters of vertical drop and a maximum gradient of 44 degrees. The terrain blends big mountain and freestyle elements, giving riders the freedom to choose their approach.

The venue naturally divides into two zones. The looker’s right is steep and technical, with cliffs, chutes, and complex lines suited for big mountain specialists. The looker’s left features a massive cornice ridge, offering the perfect platform for freestyle tricks, spins, and stylish airs.

Among Ozone’s most iconic features is the Sasaki Pyramid, where Max Hitzig made history with a spectacular backflip. Will another rider take on the challenge this year?
