Since the 2020 season, the FWT by Peak Performance has been implementing a continuous improvement process by committing to a yearly Sustainability program serving 3 long-term goals: Carbon impact, Safety and Gender Equality.

All goals are equally important to the FWT, but this season the main focus will be on reducing the carbon footprint as one of the most concrete and impactful actions that can be achieved in the short term. Therefore, the FWT is reinforcing its commitment to sustainability through a range of innovative mobility initiatives.

As part of its comprehensive Sustainability program, FWT is excited to announce its collaboration with Tribulive, a leading platform, to introduce an advanced carpooling facilitator for FWT athletes, Qualifier and Junior riders, as well as the wider public. This new initiative aims to foster a greener and more community-driven approach to travel, aligning with FWT’s vision of promoting sustainability in the freeride community and becomes the primary objective for the 2024 season.

In a move towards conscious athlete transportation, FWT is taking a step by fully refunding train tickets for FWT riders commuting to and from FWT events. By endorsing train travel as a sustainable option, FWT not only aims to reduce the carbon footprint associated with individual car travel but also is actively encouraging athletes to make environmentally responsible choices.

These measures, combined with FWT's ongoing efforts to minimize the environmental impact of staff travel, underscore the organization's dedication to fostering environmental responsibility within the freeride community. By continuously seeking innovative solutions and implementing sustainable practices, FWT by Peak Performance is at the forefront of creating a more sustainable future for the sport.
