The FIS Freeride World Tour by Peak Performance delivered yet another unforgettable competition at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, where the world’s best freeriders put on a display of skill, creativity, and raw determination on the legendary Ozone face. Fresh snowfall and pristine conditions set the stage for a thrilling day of high-stakes riding, where both seasoned veterans and hungry newcomers pushed the limits of the sport.
With its steep chutes, cliffs, and playful cornices, the Ozone face remains one of the most dynamic stops on the Tour. Riders embraced the challenge, blending technical precision with freestyle prowess, resulting in some of the most spectacular runs of the season.
After a challenging start to the season, Australia’s Michaela Davis-Meehan roared back to the top with an 81.33-point run, displaying her signature confidence and control. She stomped a technical first air, navigated a complex traverse with ease, and closed her run with a huge final drop that secured her victory.
Anna Martinez claimed second place with 78.00 points, riding a fast and technical line through big-mountain terrain, while Erin Sauve rounded out the podium with 71.67 points, executing a smooth and stylish descent on home snow.

I feel amazing, mostly relieved after crashing in the first two competitions. It feels great to land my run, the snow was perfect, the drops were beautiful, and I finally feel good about my riding again.
Snowboard Men: Victor de le Rue’s Masterclass in Speed and Style
French freeride icon Victor de le Rue delivered a dominant performance, earning 88.67 points with a technical and dynamic line. His seamless execution of back-to-back spins, including a flawless backside 360, demonstrated why he remains a force to be reckoned with.
Holden Samuels pushed hard to claim second place with 79.67 points, attacking the terrain with powerful, high-speed descents. Jonathan Penfield celebrated his newfound Canadian citizenship with a well-earned third place, linking powerful turns with a calculated approach.
Snowboard Men
The snow was challenging today, but I am super stoked I managed to put down a solid run. It was not perfect, but it puts me in a great position for the rest of the season, allowing me to focus, have fun, and not stress too much.

Ski Women: Molly Armanino Raises the Bar
In a fiercely contested Ski Women’s event, Molly Armanino claimed her first FWT win, scoring 84.67 points with an aggressive, full-throttle approach. She sent a huge drop early on, maintained fluidity through exposed terrain, and executed a perfectly timed double drop to cap off her run.
Jenna Keller followed in second with 82.00 points, and securing her first FWT podium in her rookie season, showcasing her composed, calculated skiing, while Lena Kohler took third with 77.67 points, proving her ability to handle high-risk lines with ease.

The moment of the day belonged to Marcus Goguen, who secured a career-defining victory in front of a home crowd with an astonishing 96.67-point run. His massive cork 720, followed by a seamless double drop and high-speed exit, left the judges no choice but to award him the highest score of the event.
Abel Moga placed second with 90.33 points, executing a near-perfect run filled with technical spins and aggressive skiing. Ben Richards landed third with 87.67 points, showcasing power and creativity in equal measure.
Ski Men
Winning here at home feels surreal. Having my family and friends around makes it even more special. I am thrilled to have put down a solid run and to bring more aggressiveness and style into my performance.
