Bansko Ski Area is by far the best on the Balkans with lift access as high as 2600 m above sea level. The combination of favorable natural conditions and rich historical heritage makes Pirin an important tourist destination.
Located on the north-eastern slopes of the mountain, the town of Bansko has emerged as the main ski and winter sports center in the Balkans.
The Pirin’s mountain resort is a regular host of FIS World Cup events.
Along with top-level international recognition at the World Ski Awards in Kitzbühel for a few years in a row now, Bansko has established itself as a preferred location for top international winter sports events.
