2025 Baqueira Freeride Week – Qualifier 2* Highlights

A Thrilling Qualifier 2* on "Mini Baci"

The Baqueira Freeride Week was full of action as the 2* Qualifier took place on a smaller but iconic face. Finding a location was tough due to bad weather, but the organizers secured a great spot: the north wall of Baciver, where the Freeride World Tour Pro competition is usually held. This smaller section, called “Mini Baci,” turned out to be the perfect place for riders to show off their skills.

With natural jumps, cliffs, and fun terrain, Mini Baci gave riders the chance to get creative. They threw big tricks and tackled challenging lines, impressing the crowd. The snow held up well, rewarding those who took risks while staying in control.

Not all podium spots were Spanish! In the Ski Men category, Luc Palazot claimed first place with a showstopper run at the very end of the competition -delivering a huge backflip that had the crowd on edge. Meanwhile, Maria Castellví Bono dominated the Ski Women category, charging down the face with full speed and confidence. In the last category, Snowboard Men, Pau Riba Arjona impressed the judges with a smooth and fluid line, securing the top spot.

Baqueira Freeride Week remains an important stop on the Qualifier circuit, combining top-level riding with the unique vibe of the Spanish Pyrenees. With Mini Baci now part of its history, this edition will be one to remember.

Stay tuned for more freeride action this season!
