The 2025 Freeride Bansko FWT Qualifier 3*, hosted by Bansko Freeride, brought the heat to Bulgaria’s Pirin Mountains with a stunning display of freeride talent. Riders faced off on the iconic north face of Todorka peak, where steep lines and creative descents wowed fans gathered at Bulgaria’s highest spectator zone (2,550 m). Ski Men: Vachuda Seals It in Style
The Ski Men final delivered high drama as Austria’s Georg Vachuda dropped last and laid down a winning line that scored 88.33 — the best of the day. Liam Kelly (USA) followed with a powerful descent to claim second at 83.33, while Jérôme Gay (SUI) rounded out the podium with a technical line scoring 74.00.

Ski Women: Bulgarian Domination on Home Snow
Bulgaria made a strong statement in the Ski Women’s field, with Boryana Angelova taking the win thanks to a fast, fluid run that scored 91.00. Fellow Bulgarian Simona Kamberova secured second with 82.33, while Monika Novakova (CZE) earned third, putting down a solid run for 79.33.

Snowboard Men: Shishmanov Leads Local Charge
The crowd roared as Bulgaria’s own Phillip Shishmanov claimed the top spot in Snowboard Men with a score of 80.00. Switzerland’s Nicolas Lagger followed with 74.33, and Bulgaria celebrated another podium with Rosen Stratkov landing third at 69.67, capping off a strong day for the local riders.

Snowboard Women: Ilieva Dominates

It was all about Teodora Ilieva in Snowboard Women — the Bulgarian rider delivered a dominant run to take the win with 89.33. Japan’s Yuki Saga impressed with 79.00 for second, while Bulgaria’s Iliana Mihovska took third with 66.67, adding another hometown name to the podium.
