about
Initially, Katie began her sports journey as a skier, but at the age of 6 she quickly transitioned to snowboarding. Her passion for riding led her to high school races, where she first dipped her toes into boardercross. In the subsequent season, Katie's skills earned her a spot on the BC team.
While making her mark on the snowboard cross World Cup circuit, Katie made a bold shift to freeride competitions. Her talents were recognised when she was crowned the FWT Rookie of the Year in 2020, and she has consistently graced the podium in numerous competitions throughout the years. In 2023 she was crowned FWT world champion after an incredible season with 3 wins. Unfortunately she could not defend her title in the 2024 season due to injury, but she is surely ready to redeem herself in this upcoming season
“What I am most looking forward to this season is getting back on snow, and back to competition! A year off of snowboarding with the knee injury felt like forever, and I’ve been working hard to get back to snowboarding this season. I can’t wait to see everyone on tour again, and to push myself to do a run on the FWT that I’m truly proud of!”
